Disadvantages of multi-user games

Conversely, multi-user games have some disadvantages, some of which are addressed below:
  • It creates a lazy population. People play games all the time, and this eventually has a negative impact on their health and relationships. Furthermore, it causes people to procrastinate, so instead of doing something that is in fact important, they will choose to keep playing games, and then they will have to end up rushing the task that they delayed, and so won’t have completed it to the best of their ability.
  • Not all large mainstream multi-user games are compatible to run cross platforms, so if someone wants to play a friend on a certain platform, both users must be on the same platform (such as Xbox, PlayStation, PC).
  • Some users have a tendency to get abusive due to infuriation when playing these games. This ultimately makes the service unfriendly for some audiences
