Enhancements for multi-user games
The overall user experience on multi-user games is at a high degree of excellence as it remains. However, this does not mean the service is perfect – it still can be enhanced in a number of ways in order to further enhance the overall user experience. An example of an enhancement for multi-user games could be simple to allow cross-platform features in more games. Currently, some games do support cross platform function, however these games are not mainstream and operate on smaller operating systems. If popular games, such as those from the Call of Duty franchise, supported cross platform functionality so people who own an Xbox can play with people who own PlayStations, multi-user games would be played a lot more than they already are. This is because it increases the overall population for multi-user games, as all the different platforms would be combined during multi-user play.
It could also be an enhancement if users in online multi-user communities were divided automatically into groups according to their skill level, as this would mean that new players will be able to play with users of similar experience to them, which is better than these new players being annihilated by the veterans of the game. This in effect makes the game more of a challenge for the better players, as they are less likely to be matched with players of lower skill. This ultimately means that people do not get angry or upset if they keep losing, as they will have equal opportunities, and the excuse “the other player is too good” becomes extinct.
