Enhancements for VLEs
Virtual learning environments can be rather costly to set up for most establishments. This could be an enhancement for VLE’s – if they were a cheaper service. I consider this as an enhancement as it would essentially mean that more establishments would consider setting up their own virtual learning environment, and so would ultimately create a much better learning experience for students studying at these establishments, and also it would make the job of teaching slightly easier for the staff.
Furthermore, it would be an enhancement if the VLE’s could possibly host videos, so users could watch lessons live in case they are forced to miss a lesson in case of illness. This would be a great enhancement due to the fact that users would be less likely to fall behind in subjects. Also, it would mean that lessons could all be recorded and embedded into the VLE, and when it comes to students needing to revise for their end of term exams, they can simply “re-live” specific lesson in order to improve their understanding of a topic – I as a student think that something like this would be very useful for all students.
