Enhancements for online news services
Unlike with newspapers, articles posted on the websites of news outlets are not proof read; this is because of competition between outlets, which results in each outlet wanting to be the first one to report about an event, so checking articles for mistakes is rushed for online news services, and so, because of this, things are occasionally missed, and mistakes are also sometimes made and are not fixed on the final published article. This could be improved simply if the news outlets were not too focused on competition (even though it is highly unlikely for them to stop being competitive), as this would result in articles not being rushed, and so mistakes would be eradicated at early stages, so readers wouldn’t have to deal with these.
The service could also be enhanced if there were less technical issues with news website. Even though any technical issues that they may incur only ever occur rarely, it would be good to have none of these, as unlikely as it does sound. This would benefit the user as it reduced the chance that they are shut off the website due to it being offline as a result of technical issues. This could also be improved if response time and also the time to act, were both reduced, so if the website does have to go offline, the situation can be recovered rapidly, and the website can be revived, ultimately being returned to its online state.
