Overall effect of entertainment and leisure on lives in the information age

Entertainment and leisure has a major impact on lives in the information age. Not only does this make lives fun and give people something to do as a pass time, it can also encourage social activity with multiplayer access in games. Furthermore, those with tight schedules are also thought about when considering modern entertainment and leisure options. Be this with the availability of late night screenings or matinée performances, or simply with on demand services – being “too busy” is beginning to diminish as an excuse to not be entertained. However, it seems as though what is a valid excuse to not be entertained is to be old. As silly as it seems, it is true! Older generations do not have as much activities which they can take part in to suit their entertainment and leisure needs. Although the older generation (65 years or older) only make up for about 7.9% of the total world population, and so the majority of the world is still entertained!
