Disadvantages of social networking

However, social networking also packs some disadvantages which can have a negative effect on a user’s experience whilst using the service; these include:
  • When pictures/videos are uploaded to the internet, they can be deleted however, there is no way of finding out if somebody else has saved some of this content.
  • Cyber bullying is common on social networking sites, so this draws people away from the service.
  • Social networking can affect people, teenagers mainly, with their time management, as they may be almost “addicted” to social networking, resulting in them being on the internet all day and so not working or doing actual constructive tasks
