Overall, I think that as a service virtual learning environments work as effective networking strategies, allowing users, mainly students, to ultimately have an experience which is similar to almost being at their learning establishment, but from their home. Users are able to access masses of information through nothing more than simple networking, as all that is required is for the establishment to be online. This essentially means that the service is made into one of much more use, as it allows for students to access a wide amount of resources which they can use for a variety of different reasons, such as catching up with missed lessons, or simple broadening understanding into some topics. As well as improving the learning ability for students, virtual learning environments also can be thought to benefit teachers at the establishments which use the service. This is mainly due to the fact that it can help teachers with organisation, as well as allowing them the ability to interact with their students, and set homework tasks and also assign assessments.
