Impact on professional life (1)

Professional lives are probably the most affected by modern working styles, mainly due to their invaluable assistance to businesses – time is money after all! Below, I have listed a number of advantages regarding the impacts of new and developed working styles on professional lives.
  • Major businesses are able to take short cuts on tasks with software like Photoshop
              - Modern working styles make it possible for major companies to take short cuts with certain tasks. These tasks could include those such as editing photos so that photographers don’t need to be paid to re-shoot photos. These companies can instead use software like the well-known Adobe Photoshop to make edits to these photos in ways that would change the appearance of it, and make the edited version look like a real photo.
  • Businesses can boost productivity with new techniques
              - Businesses can invest in new software for their employees so that tasks can be completed at a faster rate, ultimately increasing productivity and profits for the business. As employees can complete certain tasks faster, they may be given more work to do (though for the same wage) so that the company can complete objectives faster and could possibly accept more clients because of this.
  • Workers can work from home
              - Technological advances have made it so that where once a worker would have to go into an office to do their job, they can now complete the same job in the comfort of their own home. If businesses choose to make employees work from home, they do not have to invest in large office blocks and so save money. Employees usually access the business through online portals with unique logins, so that they can see what tasks need to completed, and also so that they can commute with other employees and transfer files with the necessary cohorts.
  • Employers can use surveillance software within offices to check what workers are doing
              - This is mainly with office based jobs. Employers can have all computers connected to on main computer allowing someone, most likely of a higher rank position, to check if each employee is doing the work that they are supposed to do, and nothing else. This technique helps the business as the workers would be afraid to waste time and delay work, knowing that they are being watched and may be in serious trouble of they do get caught. Also, it helps the business as they can assure workers are working at an acceptable rate.
