Non-Internet alternatives for online shopping

Many people disagree with shopping online due to its drawbacks, or because they prefer to actually go out and browse products for themselves in stores, rather than through a database. These people have a variety of non-internet alternatives which they can use to achieve the same objective as online shopping, and these include:
  • Placing orders for products using the phone and a catalogue/brochure (for item reference numbers). However, this is only possible with some large fashion outlets.
  • Placing orders manually using order forms that are sent via post once completed. These also require a catalogue/brochure from the retailer to function, as customers will need the reference numbers for the products. However, this is only possible with some large fashion outlets.
  • Going out to desired stores and purchasing goods that way
  • Hiring a personal shopper to go out to stores to do your shopping for you; however this is expensive for obvious reasons
