Impact on social life (1)

Advantages and disadvantages are hard to list when considering social impacts of decision making. This is mainly due to the fact that social lives are the least affected by this aspect of life in the information age. Luckily, from hours of hard thinking, I managed to think of a couple of advantages of the impact of decision making on social lives.
  • People can browse cinema screenings so they don’t leave a cinema disappointed that they are not screening a certain movie
              - Today, people are able to decide what movie they watch at a cinema using cinema websites, and can even reserve tickets for screenings. This is a popular service used by many people daily, as it reduces disappointment of going to a cinema and not being able to watch something due to it being booked out or not being screened.
  • Peers can suggest things which could make someone more likely to purchase something
              - If somebody that you trust recommends a certain product, one is likely to purchase this product or service as someone that you can trust likes it. Some may consider someone’s opinion to be a lot more valuable than a review which would be conjured up by someone that the potential customer cannot even relate to.
